LHH is partnering with our northside manufacturing and distribution client in their search for a qualified Senior Accountant to add to their growing team. Reporting to the CFO, this position will oversee and perform various accounting tasks and financial reporting and analysis, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the organization's financial records. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, is a critical thinker, a problem solver, and brings a high level of accuracy and professionalism to the role. Job Description
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP
  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes
  • Assist with annual financial review including preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
  • Prepare journal entries and various cash and credit card account reconciliations
  • Maintain and update fixed asset classifications and general ledger
  • Maintain and monitor accounting records of subsidiary transport company
  • Monitor and manage accruals and prepaids
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Collaborate with various teams to improve transactional accuracy and financial procedures and systems
  • Assist CFO with special projects, as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA track preferred
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience; public accounting preferred
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and possesses the ability to pick up new systems quickly; NetSuite preferred
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
