Our organization is in search of an enthusiastic, board-certified Physician with experience in inpatient care for a newly established position as a Physician Advisor. The ideal candidate should have participated in hospital committees or possess a robust understanding of CMS and commercial insurance regulations. A collaborative mindset and a focus on team-building are essential for the Physician Advisor role. We provide a competitive base salary along with non-production incentives, coverage for malpractice, and a 403B matching plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a physician-driven clinical resource utilization program and collaborate with the leadership team to implement necessary interventions.
  • Evaluate cases to ascertain the appropriate level of care based on medical necessity, applying regulatory, health plan, and clinical guidelines during denial reviews.
  • Act as a resource for physicians concerning medical necessity, levels of care, and clinical documentation.
  • Encourage effective communication among care team members.
  • Establish and uphold peer-to-peer protocols.
