Our organization is in search of a board-certified Medical Director for OB/GYN to fill a 0.1 FTE (4 hours per week) role. Position Overview:

As the Medical Director of OB/GYN, your responsibilities will include supervising departmental operations and ensuring the provision of top-notch medical care, balancing clinical duties with administrative leadership. Collaborating with our administrative team, you will help cultivate an environment focused on excellence in patient care and physician teamwork. This part-time position is perfect for a practicing OB/GYN in the community who seeks to embrace leadership roles, enhance their professional development, and make a meaningful impact within the department.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work in partnership with the administrative team to oversee departmental functions.
  • Manage cost control, utilization reviews, quality assurance, and the development of medical protocols.
  • Engage in the recruitment and interviewing of division physicians and advanced practice providers.
  • Participate in meetings and assist in managing departmental budgets.
  • Ensure a patient-centered approach in care delivery.
  • Monitor the quality and appropriateness of medical services.
  • Provide leadership and direction for performance guidelines and assist in policy and procedure formulation.
  • Oversee clinical peer reviews, documentation, and care planning.
  • Assist with clinical patient complaints and contribute to provider education.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new providers.
  • Address issues related to physician and staff behavior and impairment in collaboration with administration.

Qualifications:
  • Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Compensation:
  • Competitive pay at $185 per hour.
  • The stated salary represents the initial range of total compensation and does not encompass productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, extra shift bonuses, and other forms of cash compensation relevant to the position. Additionally, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits provided by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is shared in accordance with state law and may vary based on the aforementioned factors.
