Job Description:

Our nursing team operates in collaborative settings with robust interdisciplinary groups, emphasizing a patient-centered care approach within a richly diverse environment. Under the guidance and general oversight of the Nurse Manager, registered nurses apply evidence-based practices in alignment with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and directives from the medical staff. Utilizing their expertise, registered nurses develop care plans that address the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and their families.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements

• Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Experience: At least one (1) year of experience or successful completion of the Nurse Residency Program.
• License and Certification: Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in good standing in Connecticut. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire. Must be able to obtain and maintain department-specific certifications.

Preferred Requirements

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
• Experience: Two (2) or more years of experience in the relevant clinical area.
• License and Certification: Certification in the clinical specialty area. CNOR certification is a plus.

• Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval.

This role requires a high level of analytical ability to gather and interpret information from various sources. The ability to respond appropriately to changes, challenges, problems, and emergency situations is essential. Maintaining confidentiality at all times is a critical requirement.
