Driver / Logistics & Warehouse Coordinator
Location: Farmingdale, NJ
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday (Approx. 40 hours/week)
Hours: 6:45 AM - 3:45 PM (Lunch Break Included)
Compensation: $25-$30/hour (DOE)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on Driver / Logistics & Warehouse Coordinator to support daily operations by ensuring materials, tools, equipment, and jobsite resources are delivered efficiently and accurately.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working between the office, warehouse, vendors, and active construction sites. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting field operations through logistics coordination, warehouse organization, fleet support, and inventory management.
A company vehicle and iPad will be provided for work-related duties.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Delivery
Deliver construction materials, tools, and documents between active jobsites.
Pick up materials from vendors throughout Central and Northern New Jersey.
Return excess or unused materials to vendors as needed.
Support daily logistics for active construction projects.
Warehouse Operations
Organize and maintain warehouse inventory, tools, equipment, and materials.
Track company assets using inventory software, labels, and tracking systems.
Check tools and equipment in and out of the warehouse.
Help improve warehouse organization and inventory processes.
Tool & Equipment Management
Monitor tool inventory and equipment availability.
Educate field personnel on proper tool tracking procedures.
Assist with inventory audits and asset accountability.
Fleet Coordination
Support company vehicle maintenance records and documentation.
Assist with scheduling preventative maintenance for fleet vehicles.
Help manage consumable materials and equipment maintenance schedules.
Safety Support
Maintain inventory of PPE and first aid supplies.
Assist with jobsite safety documentation and compliance.
Review safety plans and support safety initiatives through periodic jobsite visits.
Help document incidents and safety-related issues when required.
General Support
Perform additional warehouse, logistics, and operational support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Valid New Jersey driver's license with a clean driving record.
Safe driving history that meets company insurance requirements.
Comfortable driving throughout Central and Northern New Jersey.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable using an iPad and basic inventory tracking software.
Ability to lift, move, load, and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to assist with warehouse operations, fleet coordination, and jobsite support.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in construction, warehouse operations, logistics, inventory control, or delivery services.
Familiarity with construction materials, tools, and equipment.
Experience using inventory or asset tracking systems.
Basic knowledge of fleet maintenance scheduling and documentation.
OSHA 30 Certification or willingness to obtain certification.
Work Environment
This is an on-site position based in Farmingdale, NJ, requiring daily travel to local jobsites and vendor locations throughout Central and Northern New Jersey. The role involves warehouse work, loading and unloading materials, driving, and regular interaction with office staff, field personnel, vendors, and subcontractors.
