This adult male maximum-security correctional facility operates under the state department of corrections and is situated in Butler County, approximately 30 miles northeast of Wichita. The facility is located just east of El Dorado along a major highway in a more rural area outside the main community. Behavioral health services are delivered on-site within a structured correctional environment supported by a multidisciplinary care team.

About the Clinician's WorkdayThe Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) will provide individual and group therapy to an adult male inpatient correctional population during full-time day shift hours, managing a caseload of 15-20 patients per day. Responsibilities include conducting clinical evaluations, psychosocial assessments, and screenings to identify treatment needs and develop individualized treatment plans, as well as maintaining accurate clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements. The clinician will respond to behavioral health crises, provide suicide risk assessments, and collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, case managers, correctional staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care. Additional duties include supporting discharge and reentry preparation as well as rehabilitation-focused behavioral health programming designed to improve emotional functioning and encourage positive behavioral change.
