Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
\nProvide general labor skills including but not limited to shoveling, spinning a fiber reel, and pulling cable
\nMaintain and promote a safe working environment for yourself and the other members of your team
\nAssist with traffic control and barriers
\nDirect traffic flow in accordance with local DOT guidelines
\nManually rotating a reel containing fiber optic conduit or other material
\nAssist with work site preparations to include shoveling, raking etc.
\nCheck oil and fuel levels on trucks and equipment
\nManually load and unload materials
\nSafely utilize various construction hand tools
\nPull lashing equipment down cable lines to secure wires
\nPull out cable lines and other equipment used in installing cable wires
\nDrive truck to/from job locations (with the proper licensing requirements)
\nWear personal protective equipment (PPE) while working including but not limited to hard hat, reflective vest, and safety goggles
\nOther duties as assigned
\n \nSKILLS AND ABILITIES
\nRegularly lift and/or move up to 100lbs
\nAbility to work in remote or congested traffic areas
\nWillingness to work outdoors in every type of weather
\nAbility to work alone or with crews
\nAbility to work safely
\n \nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
\nWA State CDL-A
\nExperience in operating various hand tools
\nPossess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
\nMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, DOT, and background check
\nAvailable for work requiring travel
\n21 years of age or older
\nPREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
\nHigh School Diploma or GED
\nPrior construction experience
\nAerial cable installation experience
\nUnderground construction experience
\nSplicing experience
\nCertified Pole Climber
