LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Analyst for a remote contract opportunity supporting a growing healthcare analytics and consulting organization.
This role will partner with consulting teams and senior leaders to develop data-driven insights for healthcare clients. The Senior Data Analyst will work with large healthcare datasets, build financial and operational models, develop Power BI dashboards, write advanced SQL queries, and translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
The ideal candidate combines strong healthcare analytics experience with advanced technical skills and the ability to work directly with consultants, executives, and other business stakeholders in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and synthesize data from internal and external sources
  • Analyze hospital inpatient, provider claims, clinical, financial, operational, and population health data
  • Build flexible and scalable financial and operational models to forecast trends and evaluate business scenarios
  • Write advanced SQL queries and enhance existing analytical models
  • Clean, prepare, validate, and interpret large and complex datasets
  • Build, configure, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, queries, and visualizations
  • Develop relational databases using Microsoft SQL Server or Microsoft Fabric
  • Gather analytics requirements from consultants, senior leaders, and business stakeholders
  • Translate complex findings into clear insights, recommendations, and presentation materials
  • Support healthcare consulting engagements and business-development initiatives
  • Develop interfaces among Power BI, SQL databases, and cloud-based applications
  • Create analytical documentation, operating procedures, and internal training materials
  • Research, test, and implement new analytics tools, methodologies, and capabilities
  • Contribute to broader data, analytics, and AI strategy initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Health Information Management, or a related quantitative field
  • 5+ years of healthcare data analytics experience
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Strong Power BI dashboard and report-development experience
  • Experience working with clinical, operational, financial, claims, or population health data
  • Strong knowledge of the healthcare industry
  • Experience translating complex data into actionable business insights
  • Experience gathering requirements from consultants, clients, executives, or other business stakeholders
  • Strong reporting, data visualization, and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a consulting-style environment
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare consulting experience
  • Experience working for a hospital, health system, healthcare technology company, or healthcare consulting organization
  • Experience with claims, EHR/EMR, hospital inpatient, quality, patient outcomes, or value-based care data
  • Microsoft SQL Server or Microsoft Fabric experience
  • Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 experience
  • Financial or operational modeling experience
  • Python or R experience
  • Tableau experience
  • Experience integrating Power BI with SQL databases and cloud-based applications
  • Experience supporting client presentations or business-development efforts
Work Arrangement
This position is expected to be fully remote. Candidates must be available to support project schedules and collaborate with stakeholders working primarily within Central Time business hours.

  • Contract length: 3-6 months

Pay Details: $90.00 to $125.00 per hour
