Job Opportunity: Diagnostic Radiologist

The radiology division within our organization is seeking a diagnostic radiologist to join our team. This role is affiliated with a prominent faculty medical group and is based in a vibrant area of Southern California, known as the Inland Empire. Our facility is ideally located midway between Los Angeles and Palm Springs, providing easy access to a variety of recreational activities, including beach surfing, desert camping, mountain skiing, and cultural events in Los Angeles. Additionally, there are six major airports within an hour's drive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in a diverse range of imaging studies, with optional mammography.
  • Participate in the education of radiology residents, including integrated clinical training initiated in July 2022.
  • Conduct quarterly lectures for family and internal medicine residents.
  • Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives and scholarly activities.
  • Provide call coverage for fluoroscopic studies, weekend film reading from home, and share holiday coverage with colleagues.
  • Maintain an average of 1-2 shifts per week from home, with hours from 7 AM to 4 PM or 11 AM to 8 PM, and on-site work from 8 AM to 5 PM.
  • Enjoy no scheduled work before 7 AM or after 8 PM, with backup coverage available as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Completion of a radiology residency program.
  • Interest in a variety of imaging studies.
Working Conditions

Our facility is a 439-bed teaching hospital affiliated with a university, featuring over 60 primary and specialty care clinics throughout the region. We host residents from various specialties, medical students, and critical care fellows. Recognized as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission, we are a Level I Trauma Center, a Primary Stroke Center, and have established a new Center of Excellence for Research.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting base salary for this position ranges from $500,000 to $550,000, adjusted based on experience and faculty rank. This figure does not include variable compensation or additional productivity incentives, which are determined by departmental compensation plans. Detailed discussions regarding compensation will occur during the recruitment process.
