Family Medicine Physician Opportunity in St. Ansgar, Iowa

Join our dynamic practice that is experiencing high patient volume right from the start.

Position Overview
  • Comprehensive Care: Engage in a full-spectrum practice, including outpatient services in St. Ansgar, inpatient rounds, and emergency care in Osage.
  • Collaborative Team: Become part of a dedicated team consisting of 5 physicians and 9 advanced practice providers across two clinics.
  • Patient Demographics: Provide care from newborns to seniors, with optional shared OB responsibilities.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Enjoy a customizable work week with options for 4 or 4.5 days.
  • On-Site Facilities: Benefit from lab, x-ray, and pharmacy services available within the clinic.
  • Specialist Support: Access on-site specialists, including a podiatrist, general surgeon, optometrist, and CRNAs, along with additional support from MercyOne North Iowa.
  • Hospital Admissions: Admit patients to the Mitchell County Regional Health Center, a 25-bed critical access hospital with around 600 annual admissions and an emergency department handling 4,000 visits yearly.
  • Available Services: The hospital offers a wide range of services, including general surgery, pulmonary rehabilitation, speech therapy, physical and occupational therapy, cardiac rehab, medical nutrition therapy, imaging services, and more.
  • Affiliation: Work within a network affiliated with a Level III Trauma Center and regional teaching facility.
  • Loan Repayment Programs: Eligible for NHSC site, PSLF, and Rural Iowa Primary Care Loan Repayment.

Candidate Qualifications
  • Certification: Candidates must be board certified or board eligible, with certification required within three years of eligibility.
  • Education: A graduate of an accredited medical or osteopathic school is essential, along with completion of a relevant residency program.
  • Licensing: Must be licensed or eligible for a physician license in Iowa, including a Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are necessary.
  • Background Checks: All offers are contingent upon successful completion of references, background checks, pre-employment physicals, and drug screenings.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive Salary: Enjoy a two-year income guarantee of $301,290, along with a $250,000 bonus package.
  • Relocation Assistance: A moving allowance of up to $15,000 is available.
  • PTO: Receive 34 days of paid time off (PTO) when on base, increasing to 40 days when on production.
  • Continuing Education: An annual CME allowance of $6,000 is provided.
