Job Description
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant at our organization will collaborate closely with patients and Occupational Therapists to deliver rehabilitative care aimed at enhancing quality of life. This position is available on a full-time or part-time basis in Grand Junction, Colorado, offering a competitive hourly wage ranging from $27 to $38, along with a comprehensive benefits package. As a COTA, you will be instrumental in assisting patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals and regain their physical strength and mobility.

Key Responsibilities
- Support Occupational Therapists in delivering rehabilitative services to patients, assisting them with exercises and activities to enhance strength, balance, and mobility.
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting findings to the Occupational Therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises and the use of equipment.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain clean and organized treatment areas.
- Comply with all healthcare and safety regulations.
- Engage in regular training and educational opportunities to improve job knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in an Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- State certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- A minimum of one year of experience in the role of Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication abilities.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with physical therapy techniques, principles, and practices.
- Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift and maneuver equipment and assist patients with physical activities.
