This role involves providing outstanding patient care, mentoring the next generation of endocrinology leaders, and engaging in impactful clinical and translational research. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of endocrine health in accordance with our mission and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Offer strategic guidance and operational leadership for clinical, educational, and research initiatives in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism.
  • Foster academic excellence through the recruitment, mentorship, and professional development of faculty and trainees.
  • Encourage superior patient care and support innovative approaches to enhance quality and outcomes.
  • Advance scholarly productivity in areas including diabetes, thyroid disorders, obesity, and bone metabolism.
  • Collaborate with the Stritch School of Medicine and associated institutions, including the Endocrinology section at Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital.
  • Work alongside institutional leaders to ensure divisional objectives align with departmental, school, and health system priorities.
Qualifications
  • A medical degree and board certification in the relevant specialty are mandatory.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Illinois is required.
  • Academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor is expected.
  • Proven success in leadership positions within an academic medical environment.
  • A strong record of excellence in clinical care, education, and/or research is essential.
  • A background in funded research is preferred but not mandatory.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time faculty role offering a competitive salary that reflects experience and academic achievements.

Benefits and Opportunities

The position includes a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, which features:

  • Starting salary ranging from $300,000 to $400,000
  • Salary determined by academic rank and experience
