Mechanical Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical and Plumbing Project Manager for our Sacramento, California office. This role involves managing projects across multiple market sectors, including municipal, educational, medical, federal, and private industries. The ideal candidate will have strong technical design expertise, proven project management skills, and the ability to foster business development through client engagement.
We are looking for someone who thrives on building client relationships, mentoring team members, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Required Qualifications6+ years of experience in HVAC and Plumbing Design and Project Management, with the ability to produce complete biddable construction documents
Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain strong client relationships
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP
Experience across diverse project types and market sectors
Ability to multitask across projects and adapt to evolving technologies, codes, and tools
Demonstrated passion for mentorship
Experience with complex mechanical systems in sectors such as medical, K-12, commercial, and data centers
Proposal writing and client development experience
LEED certification
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Licensed Mechanical Engineer in California
Manage projects through all phases, ensuring compliance with building codes and standards
Lead proposal development and contribute to secondary market opportunities
Deliver cohesive design solutions within timelines and budgets
Build and maintain client relationships through quality service and project delivery
Engage with new clients and industry events to expand business opportunities
Oversee and mentor design team members
Conduct quality control reviews and formal team training sessions
Manage submittals and RFIs with timely and accurate responses
