Job Description
Our organization is in search of an outstanding physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation to take on the role of Medical Director for our CARF-accredited 39-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. This position presents a remarkable leadership opportunity within a collaborative and high-quality rehabilitation program.
Position HighlightsFull-time Medical Director role
Guaranteed salary of $307,613 for a two-year period
Additional compensation for directorship and supervision
$150,000 recruitment bonus
Relocation assistance of up to $15,000
Four weeks of paid time off (PTO) plus six holidays and one week for continuing medical education (CME)
$6,000 allocated for CME expenses
Comprehensive benefits package, including malpractice coverage with tail
Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)
Oversee a 39-bed CARF-accredited inpatient rehabilitation unit
Conduct daily rounds with therapists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nursing staff
Ensure clinical quality and monitor patient outcomes
Collaborate closely with the hospitalist team
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
Eligibility for an Iowa medical license
State and federal prescriptive authority
