Machinery Operator (Steel / Metal)

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established stainless-steel manufacturing and distribution business with the recruitment of a Machine Operator based in Preston.

Location: Preston

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Negotiable Dependent on Experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Operating production machinery safely and consistently
\n
• Setting up tooling and preparing machinery for production
\n
• Monitoring product quality and production output
\n
• Completing production paperwork and recording results accurately
\n
• Identifying faults and reporting issues promptly
\n
• Carrying out routine cleaning and basic operator maintenance
\n
• Working towards production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards
\n

Skills and Experience

\n
• Previous experience operating machinery within a manufacturing or production environment
\n
• Good mechanical awareness and practical problem-solving ability
\n
• Comfortable completing measurements, quality checks and paperwork
\n
• Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work well as part of a team
\n
• Flexible approach to workload and production requirements
\n
• Good timekeeping and attention to detail
\n
