Location: ENFIELDSalary: £14.80 per hourHours: Monday to Friday pm, Alternate Saturday min 4 hours paid. Contract Type: Temporary / Temp-to-Perm / Permanent

Overview

\n

We are recruiting for a Wheelbarrow Assembly Operative to join a busy warehouse and production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling wheelbarrows and related products to a high standard, ensuring that quality and production targets are met while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

\n

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble wheelbarrows and associated components using hand and power tools.
  • \n
  • Follow assembly instructions and production specifications accurately.
  • \n
  • Fit wheels, handles, frames, trays, and other components.
  • \n
  • Carry out quality inspections during and after assembly.
  • \n
  • Identify and report any faulty parts or production issues.
  • \n
  • Ensure completed products are packaged and prepared for dispatch.
  • \n
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area.
  • \n
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures.
  • \n
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as required.
  • \n
  • Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • \n

Skills & Experience Required

    \n
  • Previous assembly, manufacturing, production, or warehouse experience desirable.
  • \n
  • Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.
  • \n
  • Good attention to detail and quality standards.
  • \n
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • \n
  • Good level of physical fitness, as the role involves lifting and manual handling.
  • \n
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
  • \n
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • \n

Essential Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Capable of repetitive assembly work.
  • \n
  • Good communication skills.

  • Flexible approach to workload and duties.

  • Previous experience in product assembly or manufacturing.

  • Experience working within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures.
