Rise10 Recruitment are partnering with a well-established and growing UK manufacturer to recruit a CAD Technician to join their manufacturing team.

\n

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented CAD professional looking to develop their career within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Working closely with the Head of Manufacturing, Design Engineer and Production teams, you'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate technical drawings and Bills of Materials are produced to support efficient manufacturing operations.

The Role

\n

Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, you'll take ownership of creating and managing technical drawings from initial sales order through to customer approval and production. You'll also support product improvements, maintain drawing standards and ensure accurate Bills of Materials are created within the company's ERP system.

  • Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for customer-specific and standard products.
  • \n
  • Ensure drawings are completed and issued within agreed timescales.
  • \n
  • Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • \n
  • Upload BOMs into the ERP system.
  • \n
  • Maintain drawing revisions, version control and document management.
  • \n
  • Work alongside the Design Engineer to improve and expand the CAD drawing library.
  • \n
  • Liaise with Production, Sales and other stakeholders to ensure drawings are available when required.
  • \n
  • Support new product development and continuous product improvements.
  • \n
  • Produce visual renders to support the sales team.
  • \n
  • Ensure all drawings are accurate before release to production.
  • \n
  • Follow Health & Safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
  • \n
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing function.

About You

\n

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a technical manufacturing environment and has a proactive approach to problem-solving.

\n

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a CAD Technician or similar role.
  • \n
  • At least 2 years' experience using AutoCAD and SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD software).
  • \n
  • Experience producing technical manufacturing drawings.
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • \n
  • The ability to prioritise multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • \n
  • A collaborative approach with excellent communication skills.
  • \n
  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to quality.
  • \n
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • \n
  • Experience using ERP systems and creating Bills of Materials.
  • \n

What's on Offer

  • £25,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on experience.
  • \n
  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • \n
  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
  • \n
  • Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm
  • \n
  • 23 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
