MEP Facilities Technician (Temporary)
\n\nOxford | Up to £280 | 2-3 Month Contract | Potential Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
\nWe're currently seeking an experienced MEP Facilities Technician to join a cutting-edge scientific and laboratory environment in Oxford. This is a hands-on facilities role, ideal for someone who understands how building services and critical plant systems operate and can effectively manage maintenance priorities, contractors and site issues.
\nThe Role
\nWorking within a busy facilities team, you'll support the day-to-day operation of a modern technical site, ensuring key building services remain safe, compliant and operational. You'll coordinate with specialist contractors, oversee maintenance activities and act as a knowledgeable point of contact for facilities-related issues.
\nKey systems include:
\n- \n
- Chilled water systems \n
- HVAC and air handling units \n
- Building Management Systems (BMS) \n
- Generators and backup power systems \n
- Lab gases and associated plant \n
- Mechanical and electrical building services \n
What We're Looking For
\n- \n
- Experience within facilities, building services, industrial maintenance or a technical/laboratory environment. \n
- Strong understanding of M&E plant and building systems. \n
- Ability to manage contractors and prioritise maintenance activities effectively. \n
- Experience working with HVAC, chilled water, air handling units, generators or similar plant equipment. \n
- 18th Edition qualification preferred. \n
- A practical, common-sense approach with strong problem-solving skills. \n
