What will you be doing?\n
\nReviewing and negotiating the terms of new client contracts\n
\nManaging and administering client contracts, including contractual change through EWN and Compensation Event processes\n
\nIssuing quotes for instructions and creating and managing client payment applications\n
\nDrafting, negotiating and administering subcontracts, including change management to mitigate risk\n
\nManaging and assessing supplier payment applications\n
\nCollaborating with project teams to resolve commercial issues and support decision-making\n
\nProviding guidance on contract interpretation, ensuring compliance with NEC principles\n
\nBuilding strong, proactive working relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors\n
Where will you be doing it?\n
\nBased in Derby, our client is a technically driven business with over 30 years of expertise engineering and supporting high integrity control systems, where failure simply isn't an option. Their work ranges from small upgrades to fully integrated turnkey solutions, and they supply the latest technology across the UK and Europe to clients within Intelligent Transport Systems, Highways, Airports and Power sectors. You'll report to the Financial Controller and work across all projects.\n
What you'll need:\n
\nA degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience\n
\nExtensive knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts (NEC3 & NEC4), with a good track record of applying them on infrastructure or technology projects\n
\nA sound working knowledge of construction and contract law, including other forms of contract such as JCT\n
\nExcellent IT competency, with Excel and Word mandatory\n
\nStrong client and supplier communication and negotiation skills\n
\nFlexibility and adaptability to juggle a range of tasks while meeting schedules and deadlines\n
\nMembership of a relevant professional body is desirable\n
