This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic History specialist, ECT History Teacher, or experienced Humanities Teacher to make a lasting impact on student progress and achievement.

The Role\n

As a Teacher of History, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities for Key Stage 5 (A-Level History) depending on experience.

You will:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • \n
  • Teach a broad range of historical topics, developing students' understanding of key events, interpretations, and historical enquiry skills
  • \n
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing effective feedback to support attainment and achievement
  • \n
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, discussion, and critical thinking
  • \n
  • Prepare students for GCSE History examinations and support them in achieving their full potential
  • \n
  • Contribute to the wider Humanities department and participate in enrichment activities such as history clubs, educational visits, and themed events
  • \n
What We're Looking For\n
    \n
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • \n
  • A degree in History or a related subject
  • \n
  • Experience teaching History at secondary level in the UK
  • \n
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • \n
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
  • \n
  • Experience teaching GCSE History is highly desirable
  • \n
  • Experience teaching A-Level History, Humanities, or related subjects would be advantageous
  • \n
