Do you have the resilience, empathy and confidence to support students who need a calm, consistent and encouraging presence? Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant who'd be interested in working at a SEMH school in Willenhall. This role will run until the end of the term, with the opportunity to be extended.

About the Role

As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support students with SEMH, both in and out of the classroom
\n

\n
• Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
\n
• Work 1:1 or with small groups to help pupils re-engage with learning
\n
• Build trusting, professional relationships that promote positive behaviour
\n
• Assist teachers in creating a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
\n
• Contribute to behaviour plans and pastoral support programmes
\n
• Access to a Vehicle.
\n

What We're Looking For

\n
• Experience working with young people with SEMH (school, alternative provisions, youth work, mentoring or similar)
\n

\n
• Strong communication, resilience and emotional intelligence
\n
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and use positive behaviour strategies
\n
• A genuine commitment to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
\n
• Team-working skills and a proactive approach
\n
