- Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week, 08:00-16:00) - please note this is a fully office based Monday to Friday role, hybrid working is not available. \n
We have a fantastic opportunity to become a Permitting Coordinator within a growing business. This role is crucial for ensuring that our projects comply with all relevant permitting requirements, allowing works to progress safely, legally, and on schedule.
\nDay-to-day of the role:
\n- \n
- Manage and track permit applications to completion, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and deadlines. \n
- Raise, coordinate, and close works notices in a timely and accurate manner. \n
- Monitor permit durations, ensuring works remain on schedule and arranging extensions where required. \n
- Liaise closely with Project Managers and Supervisors to coordinate and manage road space bookings effectively. \n
- Maintain accurate permitting records and trackers using Excel and Microsoft Teams. \n
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Local Authorities and other key stakeholders. \n
- Coordinate with third parties regarding bus stop suspensions, parking suspensions, Temporary Traffic Orders (TTOs), and TMAN applications. \n
- Monitor reinstatement inspections and proactively resolve any issues relating to Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) and inspection data. \n
- Prepare and report on monthly KPI data. \n
Required Skills & Qualifications:
\n- \n
- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar permit coordination or streetworks administration role (utilities or highways experience preferred). \n
- Strong understanding of permit durations, extensions, Major works, and FPNs. \n
- Confident Excel skills, with the ability to analyse, interpret, and report on data. \n
- Experience with Confirm, Symology, Causeway, Mayrise, or Street Manager (desirable). \n
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail. \n
- Solid understanding of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Traffic Management Act 2004, and the London Permit Scheme. \n
