Job Title: Trainee Die-Cutter Operator
\nLocation: Kettering, NN15 6JQ
\nSalary: Dependent upon experience
\nJob Type: Full Time, Permanent
\nWorking Hours: 07:30 – 16:30 Monday – Thursday (30 mins break) / 07:30 – 14:00 Friday (30 mins break)
\nWe are seeking a Die Cutter to join our dynamic production team. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A background in die-cutting operations would be advantageous.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Set up and operate die-cutting machinery safely and efficiently. \n
- Complete and record daily machine health and safety pre-use checks according to the prescribed health and safety protocol for each machine. \n
- Read and interpret job specifications and production schedules. \n
- Manual handling of raw materials into the machine. \n
- Ensure machine key performance indicators (KPI’s) and specified run rates are achieved \n
- Record all daily outputs, waste, and any production issues on production timesheet. \n
- Job rotation with other machines to cover absence when required. \n
- Ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements. \n
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting. \n
- Monitor production output and minimise waste. \n
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment. \n
- Work closely with production and quality teams to meet deadlines. \n
- Adopt a flexible approach to ensure business requirements are met. \n
- Adhere to company policies and procedure at all times. \n
- Any other reasonable request made by management team. \n
About you:
\nEssential Experience:
\n- \n
- Some experience operating an automatic die-cutting machine would be preferable. \n
- Strong understanding of production processes and quality control. \n
- Ability to read technical drawings and job instructions. \n
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. \n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. \n
- Good communication skills and great team player. \n
- Flexible approach to overtime when required. \n
Desirable Experience:
\n- \n
- Experience with Bobst or similar die-cutting equipment. \n
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within manufacturing. \n
