HandymanSocial Housing Maintenance£18.00 - £22.00 per hour | Ongoing Contract | Immediate Start AvailableWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Handyman to join a busy social housing maintenance team carrying out repairs and upkeep across residential properties.This is a fantastic opportunity to secure ongoing work with a well-established contractor delivering maintenance services to housing association and local authority properties.The RoleAs a Handyman, you will be responsible for completing a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks within occupied and void properties. You will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while providing excellent customer service to residents.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Carry out general building repairs and maintenance
\n
• Basic carpentry repairs including doors, locks, skirting and ironmongery
\n
• Minor plumbing repairs such as changing taps and fixing leaks
\n
• Patch plastering and making good
\n
• Painting and decorating touch-ups
\n
• Fitting and replacing fixtures and fittings
\n
• Completing reactive maintenance and planned works
\n

Requirements

\n
• Previous experience as a Handyman, Maintenance Operative, Caretaker or Multi Skilled Operative
\n
• Experience working within social housing, housing maintenance, facilities management or property services
\n
• Good all-round maintenance knowledge
\n
• Ability to undertake a variety of basic trade tasks
\n
• Own tools preferred
\n
• Strong customer service skills
\n
