\nLocation:East London & Essex (covering areas including Newham, Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge, Waltham Forest, Havering and surrounding Essex locations)
\nSalary: £37,000 - £38,325 per annum + Company Van & Fuel Card
Role Summary\nWe are currently seeking an experienced Carpenter to join a well-established maintenance team carrying out reactive and planned repairs within occupied social housing properties across East London and parts of Essex.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Carpenter who enjoys a varied workload and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. Working across a portfolio of domestic properties, you'll play an important role in ensuring residents' homes are safe, well-maintained and finished to a high standard.
\nThe role is field-based, covering East London and surrounding Essex areas, so you'll need to be comfortable travelling between properties throughout the working day.
The Role\nAs a Carpenter, you'll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of carpentry repairs and maintenance works within occupied and void social housing properties. You'll work independently whilst being part of a supportive and established maintenance team.
\nTypical duties will include:

- First and second fix carpentry works \n
- Hanging and easing internal and external doors \n
- Repairing and replacing locks, handles and ironmongery \n
- Kitchen repairs including worktops, units and doors \n
- Installing and repairing skirting boards, architraves and boxing-in \n
- Carrying out repairs to windows, frames and timber fixtures \n
- General maintenance and making good works \n
- Completing minor multi-trade tasks where required \n
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently and safely \n
- Maintaining excellent customer service when working in residents' homes \n
- Using a PDA or job management system to receive and update works completed \n
We're looking for someone who is reliable, customer-focused and takes pride in the quality of their work.
\nYou will have:

- Previous experience working as a Carpenter within social housing, maintenance or repairs environments \n
- Strong knowledge of first and second fix carpentry \n
- Experience carrying out repairs and maintenance works within occupied properties \n
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively \n
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail \n
- A professional and customer-focused approach when dealing with residents \n
- Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads \n

- Full UK Driving Licence \n
- Proven experience working as a Carpenter or Carpenter Multi Trader \n
- Ability to travel across East London and Essex \n
- Comfortable using handheld devices or PDAs \n
- Eligible to work in the UK (proof required) \n
- DBS check (or willingness to undertake one if required) \n
