Salary: £50,000 per annum + Company Van & Fuel Card

Overview

\n

We are currently seeking an experienced Glazier to join a well-established reactive maintenance team, carrying out repairs and maintenance works within occupied social housing properties across Barnet and the surrounding North West and West London areas.

\n

This is a mobile role covering Barnet, Camden, Wembley, Westminster, Harrow, Ealing, Hounslow and Hammersmith, therefore candidates must be comfortable travelling between properties throughout the working day.

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Carrying out a range of glazing repairs and maintenance works within occupied residential properties.
  • \n
  • Repairing and replacing UPVC windows and doors, including locks, handles, hinges and mechanisms.
  • \n
  • Diagnosing and repairing tilt and turn window systems, ensuring they are operating safely and correctly.
  • \n
  • Replacing broken or damaged sealed units and glazing panels.
  • \n
  • Undertaking adjustments and repairs to UPVC doors and windows to ensure smooth operation.
  • \n
  • Carrying out remedial works including draught proofing, realignment and making good following repairs.
  • \n
  • Diagnosing faults efficiently and completing repairs to a high standard.
  • \n
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally and in line with company standards.
  • \n
  • Delivering excellent customer service while working within residents' homes.
  • \n
  • Managing your own workload and completing jobs within agreed timescales.
  • \n
  • Taking ownership of jobs from first visit through to completion.
  • \n

  • Use PDA and mobile technology systems correctly.
  • \n
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • \n
  • Take ownership and responsibility for all allocated jobs.

Experience & Requirements

\n

Applicants must have:

\n
    \n
  • Proven experience as a Glazier within reactive maintenance or social housing.
  • \n
  • Strong experience working with UPVC windows and doors, including repairs and replacements.
  • \n
  • Experience repairing and adjusting tilt and turn window systems.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of window and door hardware including hinges, handles, locks and mechanisms.
  • \n
  • Experience replacing sealed units and carrying out glazing repairs.
  • \n
  • Experience working within occupied residential properties.
  • \n
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively.
  • \n
  • Full UK manual driving licence (no automatic vans available).
  • \n
