\nWe're looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Lecturer in Animal Management to join our Lifestyle faculty. This is an exciting opportunity to teach across a range of Level 1 to Level 3 Animal Management programmes, helping students develop the practical skills, scientific knowledge and confidence they need to progress into higher education or careers within the animal care sector.

What you'll do:\n- \n
- Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across Level 1–3 Animal Management programmes. \n
- Plan, prepare and assess learning that motivates students to achieve their full potential. \n
- Undertake course leadership responsibilities, supporting the effective delivery of programmes. \n
- Act as a personal tutor, guiding and supporting students throughout their learning journey. \n
- Develop innovative teaching resources that reflect current industry practice. \n
- Support practical learning within laboratories and animal management environments. \n
- Build strong relationships with local and national employers to enhance employability opportunities for students. \n
- Organise and support educational visits, enrichment activities and employer engagement. \n
- Monitor learner progress and implement timely interventions to support achievement. \n
- Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement and departmental initiatives. \n

- A Level 3 qualification in Animal Management or a related subject. \n
- A recognised Level 5 teaching qualification, or a willingness to achieve one. \n
- Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent), or a commitment to achieving these within an agreed timeframe. \n
- Industry knowledge and experience within the animal management sector. \n
- Strong practical science laboratory skills, knowledge of animal nutrition, or experience as an animal therapist would be highly desirable. \n
- Experience of teaching, training or mentoring others. \n
- Excellent communication and organisational skills. \n
- A passion for inspiring learners and helping them achieve their ambitions. \n
- A collaborative approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and outstanding student outcomes. \n
