\nGoldthorpe is one of Aldi’s busiest distribution sites with the Maintenance team pivotal to the site’s success. Aldi require Maintenance Section Leaders who will be empowered to shape Aldi’s future and tackle some of the toughest technical and logistical challenges around. We need your technical skills, innovative approach, and experience to help us continue to transform our business whilst maintaining a cost leadership model. A key element of the role will be to lead the Facilities department, ensuring agreed SLAs are achieved and the site operation is always supported to achieve KPI’s.
\nAbout the Role
\nAs one of our trusty maintenance team, you'll keep our Goldthorpe Regional Distribution Centre in tip-top shape and running smoothly.
\nReporting and repairing problems, you'll use your engineering skills to keep a wide range of machinery in full working order. From refrigeration units to the racking that holds pallets, you'll make sure our centres are ready to handle whatever the business needs from them.
\nIf you have the skills to lead a team of facilities engineers that will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the entirety of the distribution centre...the below role could be just for you !
\nIn this role you will be well versed in PPM, reactive maintenance, contractor management, building regulations and requirements. You will also need to be a strong leader who leads from the front, taking the lead on big projects. It would also be advantageous to have a good understanding of MHE engineering.

Responsible for leading the Facilities maintenance department, ensuring legal compliance, availability and reliability of operational equipment is achieved to the highest degree.

To mentor, guide, monitor and develop the team in a way that promotes Aldi values and behaviors whilst supporting the requirements and activities to deliver in full, on time, every time.
\n

Support the implementation of Continuous Improvement opportunities.
\n

Ensure that H&S standards are designed into maintenance tasks and modifications. Implementing and monitoring risk assessments and safe systems of work.
\n

Manage the maintenance calendar ensuring all maintenance procedures are completed to excellent standards enabling high performance and reliability of the equipment.
\n

Support audits of site performance and challenge current maintenance strategies to ensure maximum value is maintained.
\n

Prioritise and plan repairs with minimal disruption in line with business needs.
\n

Management of legislative requirements of maintenance on equipment e.g. PUWER, LOLER, COSHH, DSEAR
\n

Control the maintenance staff and non-staff spend, identifying savings where possible.
\n

Delivering performance KPI’s such as safety compliance, spares management, cost control and maintenance turnaround.
\n

Maintain all documentation relating to Facilities maintenance and performance.
\n

- \n
Identify obsolescence risk and manage total asset lifecycle of equipment.
\n
- \n
- \n
Complete 1-1’s, PR’s (Personal Reviews), furthermore identifying and supporting development requirements for direct reports within their team.

Responsibility for the staff Rota ensuring site engineering coverage is maintained with cost consideration.
