Description

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk duties will include but are not limited to

  • Process invoices and ensure they are accurately recorded in the ledger.
  • \n
  • Match purchase orders with invoices and resolve any discrepancies.
  • \n
  • Handle supplier queries and maintain good relationships with vendors.
  • \n
  • Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring all approvals are in place.
  • \n
  • Reconcile supplier statements to ensure accounts are up to date.
  • \n
  • Assist with month-end tasks, such as accruals and journal postings.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with organisational policies.
  • \n
  • Support the finance team with other related tasks as required.

Profile

A successful Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:

  • Experience in purchase ledger or a similar accounts payable role.
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial data.
  • \n
  • Good organisational skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with suppliers and colleagues.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
