Finance Manager
Job Description
This Finance Manager role offers the opportunity to lead the day-to-day finance function, taking ownership of management accounts, cash flow forecasting, month-end processes, payroll, VAT and financial reporting while managing a Finance Assistant. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll partner with stakeholders across the business to provide commercial insight, drive process improvements and support strategic decision-making.

\nDescription

- Producing monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and variance analysis. \n
- Managing month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting. \n
- Owning the cash flow forecasting process and monitoring performance against forecast. \n
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns and overseeing payroll activities. \n
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles, partnering with operational teams to understand business performance. \n
- Developing and maintaining financial and operational KPIs to support strategic decision-making. \n
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiencies and enhance reporting capability. \n
- Providing financial analysis and recommendations to support business growth and profitability. \n
- Supporting external audit requirements and maintaining strong financial controls and compliance. \n
- Leading and developing a small finance team. \n

\nThe ideal candidate will demonstrate:

- Previous experience within a finance leadership, management accounting or senior finance role. \n
- Strong accounting knowledge and experience producing accurate and timely financial information. \n
- A track record of partnering with operational and senior stakeholders to support decision-making. \n
- Experience improving processes, enhancing controls and driving efficiencies within a finance function. \n
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear recommendations. \n
- Confidence managing priorities, meeting deadlines and operating effectively in a growing business environment. \n
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. \n
- Strong systems knowledge, including advanced Excel capabilities and experience working with finance software. \n
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, Qualified-by-experience \n
