Job Description
The Company
\nOur client is a leading well-established Engineering company. They are a market leader within their field. Due to sustained growth, they are now looking for a CNC Machinist on a permanent basis.
\nThe Role
\n- \n
- Setting up and running jobs using information from engineering drawings. \n
- Operating and program CNC machines. \n
- Ensuring machine safety guidelines are being followed. \n
- Ensuring correct PPE is always worn. \n
- Being responsible for the production and scheduling of work. \n
- Monitoring product standards and supporting quality-control procedures. \n
- Maximising productivity, minimising downtime of machines. \n
- Providing daily/weekly/monthly performance reports and analysis as required. \n
- Ensuring the highest standards of housekeeping are maintained throughout the machine shop. \n
- Role is working 4-day week Monday-Thursday 07:00-19:00, 45-hour week. Then repeated on nights 19:00-07:00. \n
The Person
\n- \n
- Must be a time machinist. \n
- Ideally you will be able to turn and mill. \n
- Able to set, operate and programme machines using above controls. \n
- Machining background and general all-round knowledge/experience. \n
- Self-disciplined and reliable. \n
- Excellent inter-personnel communication skills. \n
- Enthusiastic, determined, self-disciplined and reliable. \n
- Apprentice trained. \n
- Manufacture of development components in a tool room environment. \n
