\n\nTHE ORGANISATION
\n\nThis established and growing business is seeking a Temporary Accounts Assistant to support its finance team during a period of absence. Operating within a fast-paced environment, the organisation prides itself on delivering high standards, maintaining accurate financial records, and fostering a collaborative working culture.
\n\nTHE ROLE
\n\nThe Temporary Accounts Assistant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. This is a hands-on position that requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a varied workload.
\n\nKey responsibilities include:

- Processing purchase invoices and maintaining the purchase ledger. \n
- Raising sales invoices and supporting the sales ledger function. \n
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice discrepancies. \n
- Processing bank transactions and completing regular bank reconciliations. \n
- Assisting with payment runs and cash allocation activities. \n
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting document management processes. \n
- Supporting month-end activities through reconciliations and transactional reporting. \n
- Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve finance-related queries. \n
- Providing general administrative support to the wider finance team as required. \n
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
\n\n- \n
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar transactional finance role. \n
- Good understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger, and bank reconciliations. \n
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. \n
- Effective organisational and time management skills. \n
- Confident communicator with the ability to build positive working relationships. \n
- Competent user of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems. \n
- Able to work independently and prioritise workload in a busy environment. \n
- Available to commit to a 3-month temporary assignment. \n
