Workplace Technician

\nWe have a great opportunity to join Sovereign Network Group (SNG) as a Workplace Technician within our Workplace Facilities Team, providing support to multiple offices across Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
\nThe Role
\nYou'll contribute to the management and maintenance of our offices in your area and provide additional support to other Technicians as required.
\nYou'll act as the workplace representative whilst on site and liaise between customers and contractors, ensuring that a high level of customer service is provided, and a professional service is delivered.

\nKey Responsibilities

- Manage the programme of routine maintenance internally and externally to the fabric of the offices and buildings in a designated region, including the upkeep of parking and landscaped areas and management of storage areas \n
- Carry out routine workplace checks on buildings as per the agreed workplace service level agreement. Includes internal and external facilities - cleaning/maintenance standards \n
- Proactively look at all areas and carry out works as required or raise works orders for specialist assistance. Upload all documentation and liaise with manager on any majorissues raised to agree action plan \n
- Undertake a wide range of repair work, including joinery, basic plumbing, internal painting and offering a general repairs service within our offices \n
- Oversee contractors working on site, ensuring that appropriate risk assessment method statement (RAMS) is in place and permit to work system has been followed \n
- Source materials and raising of orders on our Finance System \n
- Assist in security arrangements for the organisation by testing fire and panic alarms, changing locks, door codes and monitoring car park access \n
- Occasionally attend site out of hours to supervise contractors or undertake servicing tasks \n
What we are looking for

- Previous experience within a similar facilities type role \n
- Ability and knowledge to carry out appropriate minor maintenance works as required \n
- Excellent customer service and people skills \n
- Ability to establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues and contractors \n
- Excellent organisation skills, effectively prioritising your work and taking an agile approach \n
- Ability to be office based and travel between SNG sites as required \n
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces \n
Due to the requirement to travel, you must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 years experience and have the ability to drive a pool van.
