Job Description
A well-established multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its growing team in Hemel Hempstead. This is an excellent opportunity for a Structural Engineer with at least two years' post-graduate consultancy experience to further develop their technical expertise while working on a diverse range of structural engineering projects.
\nThe successful Structural Engineer will become part of a collaborative and supportive team, delivering innovative engineering solutions across commercial, residential, research & development, energy and refurbishment projects. This role offers genuine career progression, exposure to technically challenging schemes and full support towards Chartership.
The Role\nAs a Structural Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Designing structural solutions in steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry.

Producing structural calculations and technical reports using industry-standard software, including Tekla and TEDDS.
\n - \n
Working closely with architects, contractors, clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
\n - \n
Assisting with project planning, coordination and technical delivery from concept through to completion.
\n - \n
Attending project meetings and liaising with stakeholders throughout the design process.
\n - \n
Conducting site inspections to ensure works comply with design specifications and statutory requirements.
\n - \n
Developing practical engineering solutions while maintaining high technical standards.
\n - \n
Working towards Chartered Engineer status with support from experienced mentors.

To be considered for this Structural Engineer position, you will have:
\n- \n

A BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
\n - \n
A minimum of two years' experience within a structural engineering consultancy.
\n - \n
Experience designing structures using steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
\n - \n
Proficiency with structural design software such as Tekla, TEDDS or similar packages.
\n - \n
A sound understanding of structural engineering principles, geotechnics and foundation design.
\n - \n
Excellent communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills.
\n - \n
Membership of the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) or Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), or a desire to work towards Chartership.
\n - \n
A full UK driving licence.
\n
The successful Structural Engineer will receive:

£38,000-£48,000 salary.
