Your new companyMy client is a part of a group that offers a range of services, including ecological consultancy. They were established over 40 years ago and have provided services to their clients nationally ever since. They work on a range of large-scale infrastructure projects as well as conservation and others. Your new roleWe are looking for an Ecologist to support tree climbing works on a major UK infrastructure project. This is an excellent opportunity that is available full time from September-December with the potential of an extension through till April 2027.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting protected species and habitat surveys
    • \n
  • Tree Climbing
    • \n
  • Assessments and reporting
    • \n
  • Providing ecological advice to site teams and contractors
    • \n
  • Liaising with project stakeholders and environmental specialists
    • \n

What you'll need to succeed

\n
    \n
  • Highways Passport and CSCS
    • \n
  • Safety Critical and Medical
    • \n
  • Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue
    • \n
  • Your own PPE
    • \n
  • Previous experience working as an Ecologist within consultancy, construction, or infrastructure environments
    • \n
  • Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and ecological survey methodologies
    • \n
  • Experience undertaking protected species surveys and habitat assessments
    • \n
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • \n
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to the site
    • \n
