Preschool Manager – Term Time Only Location: Ingrave, Brentwood Salary: £16.20 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm Remote working: One afternoon per week from home Are you an experienced Preschool Manager, Nursery Manager or Deputy Nursery Manager looking for a rewarding leadership role with an excellent work-life balance? Great Starts Recruitment is recruiting a passionate and confident Preschool Manager to lead a friendly early-years setting in Ingrave, Brentwood. This permanent, term-time-only position offers Monday-to-Friday hours, school holidays off and one afternoon per week working from home to complete planning and administrative duties. Preschool Manager responsibilities * Manage the day-to-day operation of the preschool* Lead, motivate and support the early-years team* Maintain high standards of childcare, teaching and learning* Ensure compliance with the EYFS, Ofsted and safeguarding requirements* Complete staff supervision, appraisals and performance management* Oversee rotas, planning, observations and preschool records* Build positive relationships with parents, carers and external professionals* Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment* Support enrolment and the continued development of the preschool* Complete management and administrative duties from home one afternoon per week Preschool Manager requirements * A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above* Previous management or senior leadership experience within a nursery, preschool or early-years setting* Strong knowledge of the EYFS* Excellent understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted requirements* Confident leadership and people-management skills* Strong organisation, communication and administrative skills* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one* A genuine passion for delivering outstanding early-years education Applications are also welcomed from experienced Deputy Nursery Managers and Deputy Preschool Managers who are ready to progress into a management position.
