\nThe Supply Register is delighted to be working in partnership with Kidderminster College to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Lecturer in Hairdressing (0.7 FTE).
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Hairdressing professional to inspire the next generation of learners by delivering engaging, practical, and industry-focused teaching across the college's growing Hairdressing and Barbering provision.
The Role\nAs a Lecturer in Hairdressing, you will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to Further Education students, ensuring lessons are engaging, innovative and aligned with current industry standards.
\nKidderminster College has seen significant growth in learner numbers across its Hairdressing courses, alongside the successful expansion of its Level 2 and Level 3 Barbering qualifications. The successful candidate will ideally be able to teach across both Hairdressing and Barbering programmes, have previous teaching experience, and be willing to deliver evening courses where possible.
\nAlongside teaching responsibilities, you will:

- Plan and deliver inspiring theory and practical sessions. \n
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback. \n
- Monitor student achievement and adapt teaching strategies to support success. \n
- Undertake programme administration to ensure effective course management. \n
- Develop learners' technical, personal and employability skills, preparing them for progression into employment or further study. \n
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that motivates and supports students to reach their full potential. \n
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain effective communication with parents, carers and other stakeholders where appropriate. \n
We are looking for someone who is passionate about education and the Hairdressing industry, with the ability to inspire and develop learners.
\nThe successful candidate will have:
\n- \n
- A strong vocational background in Hairdressing, ideally with Barbering experience. \n
- Relevant industry qualifications. \n
- Experience developing learners' technical and employability skills. \n
- A recognised post-16 teaching qualification, or a commitment to achieving one within an agreed timeframe. \n
- Level 2 English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above), or a willingness to work towards these qualifications. \n
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. \n
