\nJob Purpose: The SEN Teaching Assistant will support the teaching staff in delivering high-quality education and care to students with special educational needs. You will assist with classroom activities, provide one-to-one or small group support, and help implement personalised learning plans to meet individual student needs.
\nKey Responsibilities:

Support students with learning, communication, and behavioural needs in line with their individual education plans (IEPs).
\n - \n
Assist teachers in delivering lessons and adapting resources to meet diverse needs.
\n - \n
Provide one-to-one or small group support to students requiring additional assistance.
\n - \n
Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and social development.
\n - \n
Monitor and record student progress and share observations with teaching staff.
\n - \n
Support students with personal care, as required.
\n - \n
Assist with preparing classroom resources and maintaining a safe, organised learning environment.
\n - \n
Participate in team meetings, training, and school activities as needed.
\n
Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
\n - \n
Understanding of SEND strategies and educational support techniques.
\n - \n
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
\n - \n
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
\n - \n
Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning, CACHE, or equivalent) are advantageous.
