\nOur client is an automotive garage that's been growing steadily over the last two and a half years. With an excellent reputation and an exciting move to a brand-new 3,600 sq ft workshop just around the corner, now is the perfect time to join the team.
\nAbout the Role
\nOur client is looking for a Receptionist to be the welcoming face of the business. Around 60% of your day will be spent on reception, welcoming customers, answering the phone and booking vehicles into the workshop, with the rest split between general office administration and some basic accounts duties.
\nNo two days are ever quite the same. You'll be speaking to customers one minute, ordering parts the next, then raising invoices or helping keep the paperwork up to date. It's a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys dealing with people just as much as they enjoy keeping things organised.
\nAs the business prepares to move into larger premises, you'll have the opportunity to help shape your own working environment from day one. Rather than stepping into a role that's already set in stone, you'll be able to influence how things are organised and create processes that work for both you and the business.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Greeting customers and creating a friendly, professional first impression \n
- Answering the phone and booking vehicles in for work \n
- Preparing and sending customer invoices \n
- Ordering parts and dealing with suppliers \n
- Looking after the day-to-day bookkeeping \n
- Preparing information for VAT returns (with support from the company's accountants) \n
- Keeping office paperwork organised and up to date \n
- Helping make sure the business runs smoothly \n
Key Skills and Qualifications
\n- \n
- Previous reception or office administration experience \n
- Basic bookkeeping or accounts knowledge \n
- Experience using Sage or similar accounting software (although our client is happy to use whichever package works best for the successful candidate) \n
- Good Microsoft Office skills \n
- Friendly, organised and professional \n
- Able to work on your own initiative and take ownership of your work \n
- Someone who enjoys working in a small team and getting stuck in wherever needed \n
Benefits
\n- \n
- £28,000 - £30,000 salary \n
- Potential performance bonus \n
- Opportunity to influence how your office is set up and organised \n
- Friendly working environment where everybody knows each other \n
- After a good week, Friday lunch is on the boss! \n
If you're looking for more than just another office job and like the idea of becoming an important part of a growing local business, we'd love to hear from you. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work and wants to build a long-term future with a company where they'll be genuinely valued.
