Interim Senior Credit Risk Specialist

\n\nPurpose of the Role
\nThe Senior Credit Risk Adviser is responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of credit risk across the organisation. The role involves assessing counterparty creditworthiness, monitoring exposures, maintaining credit limits, and ensuring credit decisions align with internal policies and the organisation's risk appetite.
\nWorking closely with colleagues across Finance, Commercial, Trading, Treasury, and other business functions, the successful candidate will provide practical credit risk support while escalating more complex matters where appropriate.
\n\nKey Responsibilities

- Carry out responsibilities in line with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practice. \n
- Assess the financial standing of new and existing business partners and make informed credit recommendations. \n
- Monitor credit exposures and identify potential risks, escalating issues where appropriate. \n
- Prepare regular reports and provide insights to support effective risk management. \n
- Maintain credit limits, records, and supporting documentation. \n
- Support the administration of credit agreements and security arrangements. \n
- Contribute to the development and improvement of credit processes, controls, and reporting. \n
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to provide credit risk support. \n
- Ensure accurate documentation and assist with internal governance and audit activities. \n
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
\n- \n
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related subject (or equivalent experience). \n
- Proven experience in credit risk, credit control, or financial analysis. \n
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information and assess risk. \n
- Good understanding of credit management principles and commercial decision-making. \n
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other business systems. \n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. \n
- Well organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. \n
- A proactive, practical approach with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement. \n
