Audit Manager – Weybridge, Surrey £55,000 – £70,000 | Hybrid and Flexible Working

Fletcher George Recruitment is supporting a high-growth independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Weybridge with the appointment of an Audit Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a varied portfolio of audit clients, lead audit teams and work closely with the Partners within a modern and forward-thinking accountancy practice.

The role offers genuine scope for progression, strong client exposure and the opportunity to contribute to business development and the continued growth of the firm. Candidates from a Big Four, Top 10, Top 50 or regional accountancy practice will be considered.

The firm is open to applicants from either a pure audit or a mixed audit and accounts background.

The Audit Manager Role

As Audit Manager, you will manage your own portfolio of audit clients and oversee assignments from planning through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a varied portfolio of audit clients
\n
• Leading audit engagements from planning and fieldwork through to completion
\n
• Acting as the principal point of contact for clients throughout the audit process
\n
• Reviewing audit files and ensuring work is completed in line with relevant standards
\n
• Managing budgets, deadlines and resourcing across multiple assignments
\n
• Leading, mentoring and developing audit teams
\n
• Providing technical guidance and constructive feedback to junior colleagues
\n
• Building strong relationships with business owners, finance teams and senior stakeholders
\n
• Working closely with the Partners on client delivery and complex audit matters
\n
• Supporting new business activity, tenders and client proposals
\n
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients
\n
• Contributing to the continued development and growth of the audit function
\n

About You

The successful Audit Manager will ideally have:

\n
• ACA or ACCA qualification
\n
• Full right to work in the UK
\n
• Recent audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice
\n
• A background within a Big Four, Top 10, Top 50 or regional firm
\n
• Experience from either a pure audit or mixed audit and accounts role
\n
• A strong understanding of UK auditing and financial reporting standards
\n
• Experience managing audit assignments and client relationships
\n
• The confidence to lead, motivate and develop junior team members
\n
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
\n
• A commercial mindset and an interest in business development and firm growth
\n

Salary and Benefits

• Salary of £55,000 – £70,000, depending on relevant experience and supervisory skills

This Audit Manager role is based in Weybridge, Surrey, and is commutable from Woking, Walton-on-Thames, Cobham, Esher, Chertsey, Addlestone, Leatherhead, Kingston and surrounding areas.
