We are currently recruiting for an experienced Neighbourhood Team Leader on behalf of a local authority in Welwyn Garden City.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished housing professional to take a leading role in delivering high-quality tenancy and neighbourhood management services across a diverse housing portfolio. You will lead a team of Neighbourhood Officers, manage complex tenancy issues, drive service improvements, and ensure the delivery of excellent outcomes for residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of tenancy management services across the council's housing stock.
  • \n
  • Manage neighbourhood and estate management operations, ensuring high service standards.
  • \n
  • Oversee and resolve complex tenancy management cases, providing professional housing advice and guidance.
  • \n
  • Identify and implement service improvements to enhance neighbourhood management services.
  • \n
  • Monitor performance against key performance indicators and corporate objectives.
  • \n
  • Lead, supervise, coach and develop a team of Neighbourhood Officers.
  • \n
  • Manage staff performance and support professional development.
  • \n
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with residents, partners and internal stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with relevant housing legislation, policies and procedures.
  • \n

Person Specification

\n

To be considered, you will ideally have:

\n

  • Significant experience within tenancy management, housing management or a related housing environment.
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of current housing legislation, policy and best practice.
  • \n
  • Proven experience leading and managing teams.
  • \n
  • Experience managing complex tenancy and neighbourhood management issues.
  • \n
  • The ability to set objectives, monitor performance and drive service improvements.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • \n
  • A customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • \n
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions.
  • \n

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • \n
  • Access to a vehicle for business use.
  • \n
