Our education recruitment agency is currently working with a welcoming and well-resourced secondary school in Birmingham to recruit an enthusiastic English Teacher for a full-time position, five days per week.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive English department where you can inspire students to develop their reading, writing, and communication skills while fostering a lifelong love of literature and language.

• Deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential).

• Plan, prepare, and assess high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.
\n
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student achievement.
\n
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help maximise outcomes.
\n
• Contribute to the wider school community and support departmental initiatives where appropriate.
\n

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
\n
• Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
\n
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
\n
• A passion for raising student attainment and inspiring a love of English.
\n
• A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
\n
