A busy and well-established secondary academy in Stratford is seeking Cover Supervisors and Cover Teachers to join the school from September. Due to increased demand, the academy requires multiple long-term cover staff, as well as individuals available for short-term assignments throughout the academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers, experienced cover supervisors, graduates, and those looking to gain further classroom experience within a supportive and fast-paced school environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
\n
• Supervise classes and ensure students remain engaged in learning.
\n
• Maintain positive behaviour in line with the academy's policies.
\n
• Support students with classwork and learning activities.
\n
• Take registers and follow school procedures.
\n
• Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons.
\n
• Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote a positive learning environment.
\n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working with secondary-aged students.
\n
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
\n
• Ability to adapt to different subjects and year groups.
\n
• Professional, reliable, and flexible approach.
\n
• Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
\n
• For Cover Teacher roles, QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification is desirable.
\n
• For Cover Supervisor roles, a degree or relevant experience working with young people.
\n
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
\n
