Infrastructure Operations Engineer - Remote - c£61K

A nation health organisation is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Operations Engineer to lead the ongoing transformation of its Microsoft cloud estate as it moves from legacy systems to a modern Azure environment.

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, responsible for Azure infrastructure, Microsoft 365, cyber security, networking and IT operations. You'll lead a small team, shape the cloud roadmap and work closely with development, data and business teams to deliver secure, resilient and scalable services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Azure Cloud, Infrastructure and Cyber Security strategy.

• Manage Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, networking and cloud platforms.
\n
• Lead cyber security operations, vulnerability management and incident response.
\n
• Manage infrastructure projects, cloud migration and service improvements.
\n
• Develop disaster recovery, business continuity and ITSM processes.
\n
• Support software development teams with cloud infrastructure and DevOps.
\n
• Manage external suppliers and support CAF, DSPT and security audits.
\n
• Lead and develop a small infrastructure team.
\n

Skills & Experience

\n
• Strong Azure infrastructure and Microsoft 365 experience.
\n
• Hands-on knowledge of Intune, Entra ID, networking and PowerShell.
\n
• Experience leading cloud transformation and IT operations.
\n
• Strong understanding of cyber security, governance and ITIL.
\n
• Experience managing infrastructure teams and technical roadmaps.
\n

• Excellent stakeholder management and supplier engagement skills.
