Automotive Engineering Learning Coach
Job Description
Reed Further Education are working with a leading training provider who are looking to recruit an experienced Automotive Engineering Learning Coach to join their team on a permanent basis in Winsford.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional with experience in manufacturing, HGV, trailer engineering, or a related sector to transition their industry expertise into training and development. You will support a cohort of apprentices, helping them develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to become the next generation of skilled engineers.
The Role\nAs an Automotive Engineering Learning Coach, you will work closely with apprentices and employers to deliver high-quality apprenticeship programmes. You will combine workplace coaching, training delivery, progress reviews and assessment activities to ensure learners remain engaged, achieve their qualifications and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Manage a caseload of apprentices, providing regular coaching, guidance and progress reviews. \n
- Deliver engaging training sessions, workplace assessments and developmental feedback. \n
- Support apprentices with Maths and English development where required. \n
- Ensure learner records, compliance documentation and Off-the-Job Training requirements are completed accurately and on time. \n
- Prepare apprentices for End-Point Assessment (EPA), supporting them to achieve the highest possible grade. \n
- Assess learner work and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement. \n
- Work alongside Internal Quality Assurers (IQAs) to maintain high delivery standards. \n
- Build strong employer relationships and contribute to learner progression and business growth. \n
- Produce accurate reports against performance targets and KPIs. \n

- Industry experience within engineering, manufacturing, HGV, trailer engineering or a related sector. \n
- Relevant vocational qualifications and/or evidence of continued professional development. \n
- Experience coaching, mentoring, training or developing individuals within the workplace. \n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines. \n
- A learner-centred approach with a passion for supporting achievement and progression. \n

- Functional Skills Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths. \n
- Level 4 qualification or above in a relevant subject area. \n
- Teaching, training and/or assessor qualifications. \n
- Good ICT skills and confidence using digital learning platforms and systems. \n
