Justice Services Support Worker

Location: HuddersfieldContract: Full-Time, PermanentSalary: Up to £30,000 per annum

Reed FE is recruiting on behalf of a leading Justice Services provider for a Justice Services Support Worker / Activity Facilitator to support the delivery of the CFO Evolution programme.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with individuals in custody and the community, helping them overcome barriers, develop skills, prepare for release, and progress into education, training and employment. The successful candidate will be dual trained as a Support Worker and Activity Facilitator, delivering high-quality one-to-one and group-based interventions that support rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.

The Role

You will manage a caseload of participants, providing advice, guidance, coaching, mentoring and practical support through every stage of their journey. Working closely with HMPPS, community organisations and employers, you will help individuals build confidence, improve employability and successfully reintegrate into their communities

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to identify individual support and development needs.
\n
• Create personalised action plans and tailored interventions.
\n
• Deliver engaging one-to-one and group sessions focused on personal development, employability and rehabilitation.
\n
• Provide advocacy, mentoring, advice and guidance to support positive outcomes.
\n
• Support participants to access relevant services, training, education and employment opportunities.
\n
• Monitor and record participant progress, maintaining accurate case notes and CRM records.
\n
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with HMPPS, probation services, employers and partner agencies.
\n
• Complete pre-release planning activities and support Through the Gate transitions into the community.
\n
• Facilitate workshops and learning activities that enhance communication, confidence, social skills and employability.
\n
• Identify employment opportunities and support participants into sustainable progression pathways.
\n

\n

• Excellent organisational and case management skills.

• A compassionate, empathetic and non-judgemental approach

Experience

\n
• Experience working with offenders or individuals who are disengaged from mainstream services.
\n
• Background in advice, guidance, coaching, mentoring, training, education, employability or rehabilitation services.
\n
• Experience supporting individuals to achieve positive outcomes and progression goals.
\n
• Experience working in a target-driven or outcome-focused environment is advantageous.
