\n\nAbout the Client:
\nVWA is working with a highly respected international advisory firm that operates at the intersection of risk, strategy and intelligence. They are looking for a proactive IT Support Engineer to join the team.
\nAbout the IT Support Engineer role:
\nThis is a hands-on IT Support Engineer role supporting employees across the organisation, providing both first and second-line technical support while helping to maintain and improve IT infrastructure, Microsoft 365 environment, cybersecurity posture and business systems. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

- Provide first and second-line IT support to employees across the organisation. \n
- Take ownership of incidents and service requests from investigation through to resolution, ensuring excellent customer service throughout. \n
- Troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, networking, VPN, printing, hardware and application issues. \n
- Support and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, wireless networks and firewalls. \n
- Support cybersecurity activities \n
- Provide guidance and technical support to junior members of the IT team as the department grows. \n
- Support on additional ad-hoc tasks, as required. \n
Essential Skills and Experience:
\n- \n
- Previous hands-on experience in a 2nd Line IT support role or equivalent. \n
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows 11, Microsoft 365 and end-user computing. \n
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and support. \n
- Experience supporting Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive. \n
- Experience administering Microsoft Intune or another endpoint management platform. \n
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs and VLANs. \n
- Experience using service desk and ticket management systems. \n
- Experience supporting both office-based and remote users. \n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting. \n
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. \n
- Demonstrable experience managing technical issues independently with minimal supervision. \n
- Proactive, able to work well independently and as part of a team \n
- Strong attention to detail \n
- Able to take ownership of problems through to resolution \n
