We are seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead the planning and delivery of live events, with a strong emphasis on crowd management, traffic management, and operational event delivery.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on operational leader who has significant experience managing live events, leading large teams, and delivering safe, efficient event operations from planning through to execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Operations Department, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to direct reports.
  • \n
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of live events, ensuring projects are planned, managed, and executed successfully.
  • \n
  • Develop and implement operational plans covering event logistics, crowd management, traffic management, transport operations, and pedestrian flow.
  • \n
  • Manage on-site event operations, ensuring teams are fully briefed, deployed effectively, and supported throughout delivery.
  • \n
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, stakeholders, and event partners.
  • \n
  • Manage client enquiries, prepare quotations, and oversee assigned accounts.
  • \n
  • Produce operational documentation, briefing packs, risk assessments, traffic management plans, and site plans.
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation, policies, and industry best practice.
  • \n
  • Monitor budgets, resources, staffing requirements, and operational performance to ensure successful event delivery.

Essential Experience & Skills

\n
    \n
  • Proven experience in a senior operational role within the live events industry.
  • \n
  • Strong background in crowd management, event safety, traffic management, transport operations, or pedestrian management.
  • \n
  • Experience managing and motivating large teams, including casual and temporary event staff.
  • \n
  • Demonstrable experience delivering complex events from planning through to on-site execution.
  • \n
  • Excellent stakeholder and client management skills.
  • \n
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • \n
  • Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational planning tools.
  • \n
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements within live events.
  • \n

Additional Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • \n
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and extended shifts during event delivery periods.
  • \n
  • Ability to travel to event locations across London and occasionally throughout the UK.
  • \n
  • Passion for delivering high-quality live events and creating safe, effective customer experiences.
  • \n

This role is ideally suited to a candidate with extensive live events, crowd management, and traffic management experience, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading teams to deliver exceptional event operations. The role will be office based a minimum of 2 days a week based in North London.
