Reed Business Support are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Preston.

We are looking for a proactive and personable Business Development Coordinator to join a friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, engaging with customers, and creating opportunities for business growth.

This role is not about hard selling. Instead, you'll focus on developing connections with prospective customers, understanding their requirements, and arranging quality appointments for the external sales team. If you're a confident communicator who enjoys speaking with people and building long-term relationships, this could be a fantastic next step in your career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify prospective customers and business opportunities
  • \n
  • Make outbound calls to introduce the business and establish new relationships
  • \n
  • Respond to inbound enquiries via telephone and email
  • \n
  • Build rapport with prospective and existing customers
  • \n
  • Understand customer needs and identify suitable solutions
  • \n
  • Generate and qualify opportunities for the external sales team
  • \n
  • Arrange appointments and meetings for Business Development Managers
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate records and update CRM systems
  • \n
  • Work closely with internal and external colleagues to support business growth
  • \n
  • Contribute to customer retention and ongoing account development
  • \n

  • Skilled at building and maintaining positive customer relationships

Candidates with experience in business development, sales support, customer service, account management, recruitment or lead generation are encouraged to apply.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary circa £28,000 per annum, dependent on experience
  • \n
  • Free on-site parking
  • \n
  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
  • \n
  • Friday finish at 1:30pm
  • \n
